Icelandair also operate daily flights between Reykjavik and Glasgow with through connections from many North American airports.
England, Wales and Northern Ireland
Frequent flights by British Airways (BAW), British Midland International (BMI), British European, easyjet, Eastern Airways, ScotAirways and Loganair to Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh. In addition to the above airlines, Ryanair operate to Prestwick, and GO operate flights to Glasgow, Edinburgh. There are over 200 flights a day between London airports and Scotland, together with flights from Belfast, Cardiff, Manchester, Bristol, Southampton, Norwich, East Midlands, Leeds to name but a few.

I have found the on-line agent expedia.co.uk can often provide reasonable quotes for firm airline seats, but it does pay to shop around. Some of the best deals are with the on-line airlines Ryanair, easyjet and GO. And for transatlantic routes Icelandair do some very good deals.
